Still in transit

Laputan Logic is still on hiatus but I just had share with you this remarkable image taken by Anthony Ayiomamitis.

It shows the the International Space Station in transit across the face of the Sun. The lower limb of the silhouetted shape is the space shuttle Discovery which is currently docked with it. For comparison, here's a time-lapsed image of the ISS transiting without the shuttle.

This simulated image of the Shuttle and ISS is from the Central Coast Astronomical Society site.
