Apollo landing sites

This
image of the Apollo 17 landing site was taken in 1972 from the Command
Module from about 100 kilometres above the Moon's surface. The
resolution
is good enough that you can actually see the Lunar Module
and its shadow. Click on the image to be taken to a panoramic view of the surface.
